Sound waves created by crystal singing bowls, metal bowls, and tuning forks work their way through your body "massaging" your muscles, connective tissues, and organs while bringing balance and harmony back to your brain waves and chakras. Unlike massage therapy, sound therapy is touch free and requires clients be fully clothed.
Sound waves are created primarily by crystal singing bowls, with additional sounds that might include metal bowls, a gong, pala chimes, a rain stick, a thunder drum, ocean drum, and medicine drum. These amazing waves of sound travel through your body "massaging" your muscles, connective tissues, and organs like no other healing modality can do. Possibly returning brain waves and chakras to a more harmonious and balanced state.
Wear your most comfortable clothes and bring your yoga mat, blankets, pillows and water to add to your comfort on the floor.
Welcome to your time to rest and rejuvenate. As a stone tossed into a pond creates ripples so do the waves created by sound travel through your body, washing away stress and tension so that healing energy can enter. Give yourself permission to allow the sounds to carry your mind to a place of peace and calm. Allow the vibrations to release tensions both physical and emotional. This is your time to both let go and reconnect with everything that is you.

After over 25 years in the field of education, and several years as a massage therapist, I found myself at a crossroads. What direction did I want to take at this point in my life?
Years ago, after earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, I stumbled into the field of advising undergraduate college students. I came to love it because I found helping others attain their goals very fulfilling. However, at one point during that time I felt I needed a break, a detour.
A family member had started training to become a massage therapist and I volunteered to be her guinea pig! This was a light bulb moment of sorts. I found myself drawn into this field and it offered me the ability to be my own boss, which at the time, was very appealing. So, while still advising students, I became a student again but this time it was outside the boundaries of higher education and in the realm of holistic health. This may seem like quite the leap from academia, and I guess it was. But, for me, it was just another avenue to help people attain their goals of relaxation and relief from stress and pain. I loved helping others feel better physically and emotionally, but it was hard on my body and after a while too much for me to continue. I recommitted myself to academic advising with renewed vigor but when the opportunity to “retire” early became available I took it… Now what?
Let me digress for a bit. While earning my bachelor’s degree my mom suggested I get a teaching certificate to “fall back on?” Well, she did and so, I did, never intending to use it. Not only did I become a certified teacher, but I also attained a master’s degree in Education in the process. So, after moving to the Austin area to be closer to family, I found myself using that certification and teaching high school students. Again, I am helping folks attain their goals! While I loved my students, I began feeling the familiar pull of holistic health. One day while, researching modalities, I came across a news story about a therapist who utilized metal Tibetan singing bowls on her clients in lieu of hands-on massage therapy! Insert mind blown emoji here There it was! The first sign that said, “this way!”
So, I started, one step at a time, down a new path and never looked back! I entered a new world, well actually an ancient world but, for me, an amazing, mind blowing, new world in holistic therapies! Tibetan singing bowls led me to tuning forks. Tuning forks led me to quartz crystal singing bowls. Quartz crystal singing bowls led me to sound baths. Sound baths led me to Hill Country Singing Bowls!
I am blessed to be able to share the healing qualities of sound with you.
